As a multimedia and conceptual artist, David Teeple has amassed a body of work that is simultaneously simple and complex, sculptures that use the unique physical and optical properties of water, glass, and light to create significant perceptual experiences that also address the ecological issues of water. His work, a poetry of light created through the intersection of water and glass—challenges viewers to rethink the relationship between perception and interpretation, and how we interact with place.

Teeple’s sculptures and photographs are found in a number of public collections such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Diego, CA; the Weisman Foundation, Beverly Hills, CA; the University Museum of Contemporary Art, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA; the Museum of Fine Arts, Springfield, MA; The Athenaeum, La Jolla, CA; Hancock Shaker Village, Pittsfield, MA; the Yuma Art Center, Yuma, AZ; and Hampshire College, Amherst, MA. His works are also in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and internationally.
